Hello Pasadena Families-
The FAST assessment is a series of progress monitoring tests given three times a year to students in English Language Arts (ELA) Reading and in Mathematics. Cycle One testing is the first administration of these FAST assessments within a given school year. These assessments are administered to monitor student progress towards grade-level standards and provide insights to teachers for tailoring instruction to meet individual student needs.
The cycle one testing window for our students opens August 25 and concludes September 26. Our teachers will communicate to you when their classes are testing. In the meantime, please review these test taking strategies with your children to help support and reassure on their test day(s).
WHAT DO I DO IF I DON’T KNOW THE ANSWER RIGHT AWAY?
SHOULD I FLAG OR SKIP A QUESTION?
HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE FAST TEST?
Best of luck-
Mr. Ateek
