  School Vision

The vision of Westgate is to be a community of learners where all students, families and staff work together to achieve total success.

Westgate is a neighborhood school, built in 1957. We have a wonderful history of legacy and tradition.  Margaret Kraft, the school's first Principal, served 27 years, retiring in 1984. Many families who attended as children are now parents, sending their own children to school here. Westgate's caring community of teachers, staff, and families work hard to preserve valued traditions while implementing creative teaching methods to meet the needs of our students. For more than 65 years, Westgate has been providing a safe learning environment for our neighborhood and its families.
